I am Jerika,
I am a Registered Nurse currently working full-time as a PCU nurse in a hospital setting. My passion for nursing began in 2010. At that time, I was uncertain about my educational path until a friend recommended that I take a CNA course, noting the consistent job opportunities it offered.
Following this advice, I enrolled in a three-day fast-track course similar to the one I am now offering.
After successfully passing the Prometric state exam on my first attempt, I eagerly started my career as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center. It was during this period that I discovered my true passion for nursing—providing tender, compassionate care and receiving patients' gratitude was deeply rewarding.
Subsequently, I accepted a position as a patient care technician in a hospital, which provided me with unique and valuable experiences distinct from my previous role. This exposure solidified my resolve to pursue a career as a nurse.
Being able to support patients during their most vulnerable moments brought great fulfillment to my work. I advanced my education by becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and later a Registered Nurse (RN). Balancing my journey with the responsibilities of being a mother to four children and a wife presented challenges, but I overcame each obstacle to achieve my goal.
Today, I am committed to giving back to the community by offering the same guidance and support I once received from my family, friends, and colleagues. My aim is to help you achieve your nursing career aspirations and watch you thrive.

CPR /BLS Certifications
Why CPR/BLS Certification Is Important?

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are essential lifesaving skills that can make a critical difference during medical emergencies. In healthcare settings, trained professionals must be prepared to respond quickly and effectively when a patient experiences cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, choking, or other life-threatening conditions.
For healthcare workers, CPR/BLS certification is often a required credential because it demonstrates the ability to recognize emergencies, provide immediate care, and support a patient’s survival until advanced medical help arrives. These skills are vital in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physician offices, and other healthcare environments.

Why CPR/BLS Is Important in the Community?

Emergencies can happen anywhere, at home, at work, in schools, at sporting events, or in public places. CPR and BLS training empower individuals to take action during those critical first minutes before emergency responders arrive. According to the American Heart Association, immediate CPR can significantly improve a person’s chance of survival during sudden cardiac arrest. By learning CPR and BLS skills, community members become valuable first responders who can help save the lives of family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and even strangers.

CPR/BLS Training at Leesburg CNA Training Center

At Leesburg CNA Training Center, we offer American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification courses designed for healthcare professionals, students entering the healthcare field, and members of the community who want to be prepared for emergencies. Our hands-on training provides the knowledge and confidence needed to respond effectively when every second counts. Whether you’re pursuing a healthcare career or simply want to be prepared to help someone in need, CPR/BLS certification is an investment in skills that can save lives and strengthen our community.
